According to Forbes, nearly all of the Forbes 2,000
companies are in the midst of a digital transformation. But only 1 in 8 are
getting it right. In fact, 50% of the
companies consider it to be a total failure.
According to a recent article from Inc., many digital
transformation initiatives fail because people don’t understand why the
organization needs to change in the first place.
A Gallup research poll found more than 70% of corporate
change initiatives fail.
A recent Harvard Business Review article listed a litany of
failed digital transformation initiatives at well-known Fortune 500 companies
and then concluded, “Digital is not just a thing that you can buy and
plug into the organization. It is multi-faceted and diffuse, and doesn’t just
involve technology. Digital transformation is an ongoing process of changing
the way you do business.”
